A day out at Broomy Hill Miniature Railway, Hereford.

We spent a wonderful day at the Broomy Hill Model Railway.

Home of the Hereford Society of Model Engineers Broomy Hill is a great place to visit.  It has some fantastic model trains in a variety of gauges, over a mile of track, a station, a cafe and a brilliant group of engineers who make visitors feel very welcome.  A chance to ride on a model train is well worth it and great value for money.  We were amazed by the number of smiling faces we saw.  You can’t help but grin.  Broomy Hill is a lovely location next to the River Wye, a great place to come and have a picnic and watch the trains go by.

The railway is open to the public on the second and last Sundays of the month, Spring, Summer and Autumn.

The first train is at noon and the last train is 4.30pm. Regular trains throughout the day.

We would very much like to thank the members of the Hereford Society of Model Engineers who made us feel incredibly welcome.
