A Dulcimer Player in Monnow Street.

It’s not often you see or hear a Dulcimer being played these days, and the last place you might expect to see it is in Monmouth.  The Monmouth Festival brings all sorts of strange things to town however, and we were lucky enough to be there to film it.

This video delves briefly into the history of the instrument, how it’s set up, and ends with a tune.

So, here for your delectation is Bill Howarth, who travelled all the way from Kent to bring us this ancient and unusual instrument.
